Clemens von Pausinger (1855 Salzburg - 1936 Vienna) was a very well known Austrian portrait artist, and especially a pastelist. He was a pupil of Lindenschmidt at the Munich Academy. The artist spent six years living in Italy, where he was closely befriended Boecklin and H.v.Marees. Having returned to Munich, he became a working associate of Piglhein.
