Adele Bloch Bauer I, 1907

Adele Bloch Bauer I, 1907

Gustav Klimt

Klimt took three years to complete the painting. The picture was painted in Vienna and commissioned by Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer. As a wealthy industrialist who had made his fortune in the sugar industry, he sponsored the arts and supported Gustav Klimt. Bloch-Bauers wife Adele Bloch-Bauer became the only model who was painted twice by Klimt.

Nowadays, since 2006 when it was bought for US$ 135 million, the painting is the centerpiece of Ronald Lauder’s collection, Neue Galerie in New York.

The painting will be delivered unstreched, rolled in protective & presentable case.
